My boss gave me a Get Better Soon card. I said "I'm not sick!" He replied "I know, I just think you could do better."

 Our council is sick. It is no longer working for us. We are the boss, and we need to give council a Get Better Soon card! 

 Cycleways and playgrounds are trendy, and make for great photo ops. This is why the current councillors love them. Yes, they have a value for the community, but the eye-watering price council pays is not good value. We aren't saying NO, we are saying get better value for our money.

 Potholes, pipes and rubbish are boring, but that is council's core business. The current councillors don't care. We need boring councillors to do those well. People with engineering, project management, business backgrounds and a good dose of commonsense.

 We need less bureaucracy. We need boring councillors who just get on and do stuff without shouting about it. If they don't shout, they might be able to hear us!

 The solution is actually pretty simple. If we stop spending money on speed bumps and road cones, we won't run out of money for libraries and swimming pools. Raising rates isn't the answer.

 We don't hate the council, but we know it can do better.

 Vote Better Waipa for a boring but better council.
